Child Welfare (CAS) Navigation Support

Doula support for families navigating the child welfare system.

1 hRadiant Community Centre

Service Description

Navigating child welfare involvement can feel overwhelming, especially when you're trying to understand expectations, prepare for meetings, or advocate for your family. These one-on-one sessions provide practical guidance, education, and emotional support tailored to your unique circumstances. Together, we'll help you understand the process, prepare for conversations, organize information, explore available resources, and build confidence for the road ahead. This service supports families involved with child welfare agencies (CAS), and is educational and supportive in nature. It does not provide legal advice or replace legal representation. Support is available at any stage of child welfare involvement, whether you're preparing for an initial visit, actively working with a child protection worker, or navigating an ongoing case. Cost: Free. These sessions are offered at no cost through funding from the National Coalition for Doula Access, helping improve access to compassionate, community-based support for families navigating the child welfare system.
