About the event
Tearing is one of the most common concerns people have before giving birth, but there's also a lot of misinformation about what causes it and what can help.
In this class, we'll talk about what can influence tearing, practical ways to reduce the risk during birth, and what recovery looks like if tearing does happen. We'll also cover pushing positions, warm compresses, perineal massage, episiotomies, and healing after birth. As always, there will be plenty of time for questions and discussion.
Partners and support people are encouraged to attend. Please include the name of who you are bringing with you in your registration.
This class is pay-what-you-can. Choose an amount that works for your family. If you're able to contribute a little more, you'll help make these classes possible for other families too.
