About the event
After your baby is born, there are a number of routine checks, procedures, and decisions that happen within the first few hours.
We'll talk about what to expect in the first hours after your baby is born, including skin-to-skin, cord clamping, newborn assessments, vitamin K, eye ointment, weighing, feeding, and other routine newborn care. We'll go over your options and the questions you can ask so you feel prepared.
Partners and support people are encouraged to attend. Please include the name of who you are bringing with you in your registration.
This class is pay-what-you-can. Choose an amount that works for your family. If you're able to contribute a little more, you'll help make these classes possible for other families too.
